ReplyDeleteHave a good break. When you get back I would like to discuss an interaction I want to have in Grade 6 on bullying as part of Hoot. I am scheduling it in June week 3. I need you to come in and work in all Grade 6 classes and bring in an activity that sensitises students about this. If we can strategise this then I will tie it in with Hoot and have them write a reflective essay or express a point view through posters or slogans that they can put up on the boards outside the classroom.

Meenakshi I have sourced a good friend Sarat who is a conservationist who will take our students on a nature walk either in Bannergetta or somewhere near by. This is tentatively scheduled for June 25th and 26th. Can you think of some activity like transact mapping etc that they can do to collate the wildlife that they see in a protected area and maybe compare it with Vartur and they can do some analysis that you can build into your curriculum.
Aditi enjoy your stay in chennai. Think of some activity that you can plug into the nature walk as well that will link to your syllabus.

I already have a curriculum for bullying for Grade 6 that we can put into practice and depending on the amount of time we have I would like to incorporate role play/theatre into this session.Sounds exciting!
